Our airports

BAA's airports are key to our country's economic wellbeing and to millions of individuals every year who travel for business and pleasure. However, this only begins to describe the work we do. We employ around 10,000 people and we're also one of the UK's largest commercial landlords and a major client of the UK construction industry. With extensive plans for the improvement of all of our airports, we offer exciting career opportunities for talented people.

Heathrow

BAA's flagship airport, and the world's busiest international airport, Heathrow Airport is the UK's major aviation hub. Every year millions of passengers use Heathrow to reach over 190 destinations worldwide. Terminal 5 saw the beginning of an airport-wide improvement plan which offers extensive opportunities for people to learn, grow and thrive in a truly global environment.

Stansted

As a major hub for low-cost air travel, Stansted Airport has become the UK's third busiest airport, flying passengers to hundreds of European and global destinations. As with many of our airports, there are major plans to extend the scope of Stansted's operations and with this comes a wide range of of quality job opportunities.

Edinburgh

Edinburgh is Scotland's capital city and a major centre for international travel. With over 100 different routes Edinburgh Airport's importance as the country's main point of departure grows every year, and so too will the career opportunities we provide. As BAA Scotland's fastest growing airport, the future is bright for Edinburgh airport.

Glasgow

Glasgow Airport is Scotland's principal airport for long-haul passengers with departures to over 90 destinations around the world, including Canada, the USA and the Gulf states. The airport directly employs over 500 people. Many airlines use the airport as their base with even more to come thanks to a major capital investment programme.

Aberdeen

As well as being a busy short-haul and international airport, Aberdeen Airport is one of the region's fastest-growing travel hubs. It includes one of Europe's busiest heliports serving the North Sea oil and gas industry as well as commercial passengers. Aberdeen was named 2008's "Most Improved Airport", reflecting BAA's investment and the dedication of all our staff.

Southampton

Southampton Airport excels in its role as a quick and easy local airport for European travellers. The airport has become a vital travel link for the South of England as well as a significant regional employer. And it's thanks to the efforts of all our staff that Southampton was named European Award Winner of the ACI Airport People Award 2008 for its excellent customer service achievements.
