As anyone who has travelled by air in the past few years will know airport security is an extremely high priority for governments, airlines and BAA as a whole. Nearly half our work force is employed in security and are crucial to the safety and security of our passengers, staff and airports.

At the front end of airport operations, our security staff meet and deal with all our passengers and staff, so good communication skills are a must. Thoroughness, efficiency and the ability to deal with busy, pressurised situations while remaining calm and polite are also essential skills needed for the role.
