BAA announces senior management appointments
Airport operator BAA today announces two senior appointments to its Executive Committee.
Fiona Rodford joins BAA as group human resources director, from Alliance and Leicester, where she has held the same position for four years. Prior to joining Alliance and Leicester, Fiona worked for organisations such as House of Fraser, Whitbread, Booker and Thomas Cook.
BAA has also appointed a group director of corporate and public affairs director. Tom Kelly joins BAA from Government, having worked most recently as the Prime Minister’s Official Spokesman. Prior to his move to Downing Street, Mr Kelly – a former BBC journalist - was communications director at the Northern Ireland Office, where he worked closely with Tony Blair on the peace process.
Mr Kelly will be responsible for all aspects of BAA’s communication activity.
Stephen Nelson, BAA’s chief executive officer, said: “I am delighted to be joined by Fiona Rodford and Tom Kelly, who bring considerable strengths to the new BAA management team at one of the most important points in the company’s development.”
