Consistent with this aim, we have integrated security into BAA's overall mission statement. Our mission is to make BAA the most successful airport company in the world. This cannot be achieved unless the following extract of BAA's mission is delivered:

BAA's vision is to eliminate all preventable breaches of security, theft, fraud and resulting business losses on BAA managed premises. Our aim is to be a best practice organisation in the security field, fully compliant with applicable international, national and local standards in all countries in which BAA operates. Where BAA does not have a majority control we will actively encourage the adoption of this policy.
