Our reporting

Our business continues to face significant challenges. The threat of terrorism has put enormous pressure on airport security. Passenger growth has brought about capacity constraints, risking overcrowding and delays.  The challenge of climate change puts aviation firmly in the spotlight.  We believe that good corporate responsibility is the only philosophy for a business in such challenging times.

Being accountable and transparent is part of the way we work. Integral to this is our corporate responsibility reporting, which we've been doing since 1989. Our corporate responsibility report 2008 covers the key issues facing our business – from airport expansion to passenger experience and security – and what we're doing to tackle them effectively yet responsibly. In our report, we give detailed information about our performance during the year and our plans for the future.

This year we have integrated our Heathrow report into the BAA corporate responsibility report. While the 2008 BAA report continues to reflect our approach across all seven airports, there is a specific focus on performance and plans at Heathrow.

This is the first year that Det Norske Veritas (DNV) has been our independent assurance provider. They provide assurance over selected information in our report in a range of areas. Our airports also produce their own corporate responsibility reports specific to their airports and local communities.

Our annual report and accounts are also available as part of the Ferrovial Group's reporting. Please visit www.ferrovial.com for further information.
