Consultation

Gatwick Airport's key role in the the economic, social and environmental development of the region means that many groups are involved in discussions on the airport's operation. We regularly meet representatives from local communities, councils, residents and interest groups to discuss airport issues.

Gatwick Airport Consultative Committee (GATCOM) is made up of local councils, environmental groups, the aviation industry, business community and passengers representatives. The committee meets four times a year to discuss airport policy and operations, with sub-committees discussing various specific topics.

The Passenger Services Sub-Committee has 15 volunteer members who monitor airport facilities and services, and provide feedback to airport management, working together to improve our passengers’ experience of Gatwick. We're currently looking for two new people to join our committee and make a difference.
Find out more about GATCOM and these roles.

The noise and track-keeping working group brings together representatives from the Department for Transport, Civil Aviation Authority, British Airways, BAA Gatwick and local authorities. The group discusses a wide range of noise and track-keeping issues and monitors track-keeping performance, night engine testing and ground noise complaints.

We have an ongoing programme of briefings for locally elected politicans, councillors and MPs and business organisations. For more information on BAA Gatwick's consultation programme please email Gatwickcorporateresponsibility@baa.com
